Ingredients:

• 2 firm apples
• 2 flakes Garlic
• 1 piece ginger, grated finely
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• salt to taste
• 2 Cloves
• 1 tbsp – Raisins
• 1/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – water
• 1/4 cup – white Vinegar

Method:

  1. Put sugar, water, vinegar, in a pan.
  2. Bring to a boil, add cloves.
  3. Slice (peel if desired) apples into 1 inch chips.
  4. Add to boiling liquid.
  5. Add all other ingredients.
  6. Simmer till the apple are cooked and the solution gets sticky.
  7. Bottle in sterile jar.
  8. Serve with hot scones, buns, or with canapes.
