Ingredients:

• 1 – Cucumber sliced
• 1 -onion sliced
• 1 – small ridge-gourd peeled and sliced
• 8-10 – ajwain leaves, washed clean whole
• 1 – Potato peeled and sliced
• 1.5 cup – gram flour
• 1/2 cup – Rice flour
• Salt, to taste
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• Oil, for deep fry

Method:

  1. Mix flours, salt, cumin seeds, turmeric to make a batter for dipping.
  2. Heat oil to deep fry. When hot, add a tablespoon to the batter and mix.
  3. Dip the vegetables, slice by slice and slide into the hot oil. Fry on medium heat till golden brown.
  4. Serve hot with sauce or chutney as desired.
