Ingredients:
• 400g – dried Figs
• 200g – low calorie Sugar
• 250g – flour
• 100g – low fat margarine
• 150 ml – Honey
• 5g – Clove powder
Method:
- Wash and chop the figs. Cook the figs with the low fat margarine and low calorie sugar.
- Add the clove powder and cook until a thick paste forms.
- To prepare the dough:
- Sieve the flour and rub in low fat margarine.
- Add cold water and make a tight dough.
- To Make Karanjee:
- Roll out the dough and cut into a disc of 12.5 cm diameter.
- Fill it with the stuffing and roll it into a half moon shape.
- Bake in an oven at 180 C for 25-30 mins.
- Garnish with honey.
