Ingredients:
• 1 – medium cabbage, shredded
• 3 – medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
• 3 – medium potatoes, blanched and sliced
• 1/2 inch piece – Ginger
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – Sugar
• 2 – Bay Leaves
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 3 – Green chillies
• salt and chilli powder to taste
Method:
- Grind together chillies and ginger.
- Heat 3 tbsps oil and put in bay leaves, potatoes and cabbage and fry to a light brown colour.
- Add the rest of the above ingredients with the exception of garam masala.
- Cover tightly and cook till the vegetables are done.
- Sprinkle garam masala on top before serving.
