Ingredients:

• 1 – beetroot, medium sized
• 2 or 3 – Green chillies
• 1/2 cup – Coriander leaves
• 1/4 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 pinch- of Asafoetida
• Juice of half a Lemon
• Salt to taste
• 1 tsp – oil

Method:

  1. Remove the skin and grate the beetroot.
  2. In 1 tsp oil, roast mustard and asafoetida.
  3. Grind green chillies, salt and coriander leaves with mustard seasoning and grated beetroot coarsely.
  4. Mix well and add lime juice.
  5. Serve with idli, dosa or variety rice.
