Ingredients:

• 1 cup – grated Beetroot
• 1 cup – rolled oats
• 1/2 cup – soaked moong beans, soaked for 10 to 12 hours
• 100 g – palm Sugar
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 10 – cashews
• Edible Camphor – a small pinch

Method:

  1. Soft cook moong bean with a cup of water.
  2. Add oats, beetroot and 2 cups of water.
  3. Cook till the oatmeal is fully done for about 20 to 25 mins.
  4. Add grated palm sugar or jaggery and mix well.
  5. Simmer for 2 to 3 mins, fry cashews in ghee and temper with camphor.
  6. Serve warm.
