Ingredients:

• 1 cup – Rajma (kidney beans)
• 1/2 cup – onion, minced
• 1/2 cup – Tomato puree
• 3 tbsp – coriander leaves, chopped
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 2 tsp – garlic, minced
• 1 tsp – ginger, minced
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Soak rajma in water overnight.
  2. Drain and add just enough water to cover and pressure cook till soft.
  3. Mash it lightly.
  4. Heat the oil in a kadai.
  5. Fry onion, garlic and ginger till fragrant.
  6. Add all the powders, fry for few seconds.
  7. Add tomato puree, rajma, salt and sugar.
  8. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  9. Add coriander leaves, mix and remove from fire.
