Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Maida
• 1 cup – Channa dal
• 1 cup – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – Jaggery
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• Oil – for preparing bobbatlu
• 2 tbsps – Oil

Method:

  1. Soak channa dal for one hour. Then boil in water till it is soft.
  2. Drain excess water and dry the dal on a cotton cloth for 1 hour.
  3. Grind the above dal to a fine powder. Keep aside.
  4. Grind Sugar. Grate or grind jaggery.
  5. Add sugar, jaggery and cardamom powder in to the channa dal powder and mix well.
  6. Sieve maida and wheat flour together.
  7. Add 2 tbsps of oil and mix well .
  8. Then add enough water and make a soft dough and keep it aside covered with a wet cloth.
  9. Make lemon-sized balls of the channa dal mixture and keep.
  10. Take a large lemon-sized dough and stuff one channa dal ball in it.
  11. Make a paratha of it using dry atta or maida.
  12. Now shallow fry on a tawa using oil all over the paratha.
  13. Apply 1 tsp of ghee all over the paratha just before eating.
