Ingredients:
• Milk – 1.5 litres
• Grated Bottle Gourd – 2 cups
• semolina (rawa/sooji) – 1/2 cup
• Sugar – 1/3 cup
• Cardamom powder – 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Boil the milk in a thick bottomed pan. Simmer, stirring frequently, till the milk is reduced to 1 litre.
- Add the gourd and simmer till it is very soft.
- Sprinkle semolina, a tablespoon at a time, and keep stirring till it is cooked.
- Add sugar and cardamom.
- Simmer for 3 more minutes. Serve warm or cold.
