Ingredients:

• Tender Brinjals – 3, sliced
• Garlic pods – 1
• Green chillies – As per your taste.
• Tamarind – 1 inch piece
• Tomato – 1 small
• For Seasoning:
• Red Chillies – 2
• Black gram – 1 tsp
• Bengal Gram – 1tsp
• Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
• Cumin – 1/2 tsp
• Curry leaves – few
• Garlic – half pod crushed

Method:

  1. In a non stick pan saute brinjals with salt and turmeric and cover with a lid
  2. Add tomatoes and cook till soft
  3. Grind garlic cloves, cumin, fried green chillies and tamarind.
  4. To this add the fried brinjal tomato mixture to it and grind this coarsely
  5. Splutter black gram, Bengal gram, mustard seeds, cumin and add red chillies, garlic and curry leaves
