Ingredients:
• 1.5 cups – ordinary Rice (not basmati)
• 5 cups – Butter milk
• 1 tbsp – mixed gram dal, Urad Dal & cashew-bits.
• 2 stalks Curry leaves
• 2 Red Chillies
• 2 tbsp – Ghee or oil
• salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – chopped coriander
• 1/2 tsp – each cumin & Mustard Seeds
Method:
- Heat ghee, add dals and cashew and cashew-bits. Fry till light brown.
- Add cumin & mustard seeds, curry leaves red chillies and buttermilk in that order.
- Add salt and rice and cook covered on low heat till done.
- Garnish with coriander. Serve piping hot.
