Ingredients:

• 2 – medium green Capsicums
• 1 tbsp – Urad Dal
• 4 to 5 – Curry leaves
• 1 tbsp – Tamarind pulp
• 1 tsp – oil
• 1/2 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1 pinch of Asafoetida
• Sugar to taste
• Salt to taste
• 2 – green chillies, chopped

Method:

  1. Heat oil and add cumin seeds.
  2. When they splutter, add urad dal and saute until it gets slightly brown.
  3. Add asafoetida, chopped capsicum, chopped chillies, and curry leaves.
  4. Fry until the capsicum is half cooked.
  5. Add tamarind pulp, salt, and sugar. Stir and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from gas and cool.
  7. Once cooled, grind into a fine paste.
