Ingredients:
• 1 – big Cauliflower cut into medium-sized florets
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped finely
• 1 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tbsp – oil
• a few Curry leaves
• salt to taste
Method:
- Wash and soak the cauliflower florets for an hour in warm salt water.
- Boil the florets in a little water for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion and curry leaves for a few minutes.
- Add the tomatoes, chilli powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder and salt. Cook on low heat until the tomatoes turn pulpy.
- Add the cauliflower florets and mix well.
- Fry on low heat for a few seconds, then turn off the heat.
- Serve as a side dish with dal and rice.
