As we know north India is very popular for its food especially for their paratha recipes. Chana stuffed paratha is one of the popular paratha recipe from north India. It is very rich and of course it is healthy and contains good amount of nutrition value. The paratha in this recipe is stuffed with kabuli chanas filling which is prepared with mashed and boiled kabuli chana, tomato sauce, lime juice and spices. To know how it is being prepare let us see the recipe steps as follow.

Chana-Stuffed Paratha Recipe by Rasoi Menu

Ingredients

To Make Dough

– 2 cups wheat flour
– 1 tablespoon ghee
– 1 tablespoon green chilli paste
– Salt to taste

To Make Stuffing

– ? cup kabuli chana
– 2 tablespoons oil
– ? cup deep fried onion
– 1 teaspoon cumin powder
– ? teaspoon rock salt
– 1 teaspoon chat masala
– 1 tablespoon lime juice
– ? cup tomato sauce
– Salt to taste

How To Cook?

To Make Dough

1. In a large bowl, place wheat flour then add ghee, green chilli paste and salt to it and knead soft dough by adding water to it.
2. Keep it aside for half an hour.

To Make Stuffing

1. Soak the chanas in 3 cups of water overnight.
2. Boil the chanas in the same water in the pressure cooker for 20 minutes.
3. Switch of the flame and let it cool.
4. Heat oil in a pan, add chanas, deep fried onion, cumin powder, rock salt, chata masala, tomato sauce, lime juice and salt to it. Mix well.
5. Mash the chana a little with the masher.

To Make Paratha

1. Divide the dough into equal-sized balls.
2. Roll out on a lightly floured surface into chapatis and cook on a hot tawa on one side only.
3. Put the 1 tablespoon of the filling on the cooked side, spread a little, fold the edges and make a square. The filling should be sealed completely.
4. Roast again on the hot tawa applying 1 teaspoon of oil on each side till brown.
5. You can serve this paratha with green chutney.
