Ingredients:

• 10 small boneless Chicken pieces – washed and drained
• Salt and pepper to taste
• Juice of 1 Lime
• 150 gm – plain flour (maida)
• 100 gm – Corn flour
• 1 Egg
• 2 tbsp – oil
• 200 gm – grated cheddar cheese
• 1/2 cup – water
• oil for frying
• Honey Sauce:
• 4 tbsp – Honey
• 2 spring onions, finely chopped
• 1 tsp – sesame seeds
• 25 gm – Butter
• 1/4 cup – vegetable stock
• 1 tbsp – Corn flour
• Salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in salt, pepper and lime juice.
  2. Mix plain flour, corn flour, egg, 2 tbsp oil, cheese and water to make a thick batter. Add salt.
  3. Heat oil.
  4. Dip the chicken pieces (one at a time) in the batter and deep fry.
  5. Drain and keep aside.
  6. Serve hot with honey sauce.
  7. For sauce:
  8. Heat a non-stick pan, add butter, honey and sesame seeds.
  9. Cook for 4-5 mins.
  10. Add the stock and spring onion.
  11. Cook for another 2 mins.
  12. Add salt and pepper.
  13. Thicken the sauce with corn flour.
