Ingredients:
• 1 kg – Chicken
• 400 gms – Basmathi Rice –
• 6 (Medium sized, thinly sliced) – Onions –
• 4 – Tomatoes
• 8 – Green chillies
• 1 small bunch – Coriander, Mint leaves –
• 2 – Cinnamon
• 6 – Cloves
• 2 – Elachi
• 4 tbsps – Oil
• 1 tbsp – Ginger-garlic paste
• 1 cup – Curd
• 1-1/2 tsp – Red Chilli powder –
• 1 tsp – Dhania powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – Kesar colour
• 1 tsp – Ghee –
• salt
Method:
- Heat oil. Add cinnamon, cloves and elachi.
- Add onions and fry till soft.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for another two more mins.
- Add salt then add green chillies (whole) and fry.
- Add chilli powder, dhania powder, turmeric powder and fry it well until the raw smell goes.
- Add tomatoes and fry until it becomes soft. Add coriander and mint leaves.
- Add curd and mix it well.
- Add chicken pieces and fry for a minute.
- Add rice, and kesar colour and mix it well. Add salt.
- Keep in a pressure cook and cook until done.
- Add ghee while serving.
