Ingredients:

• 4 joints Chicken
• 1 medium sized Onion (chopped)
• 1/2 ltr – Milk
• 1 tbsp – Corn flour
• 8 tbsp – grated cheese
• Butter for frying
• a pinch of mustard powder
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 1/2 cup – Cream
• 2 tbsp – Vinegar
• 3 tbsp – Ghee
• salt and pepper to taste

Method:

  1. Rub the chicken joints with salt and pepper, and then fry in butter till golden brown. Remove and put the chicken into a baking dish.
  2. Heat the ghee and saute the onion.
  3. Add the milk and simmer gently. Strain.
  4. Blend the corn flour with a little cold water and a little of the milk sauce and mix well.
  5. Add this corn flour mixture to the remaining milk sauce. Bring to the boil.
  6. Add vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, mustard powder and cream.
  7. Pour this sauce over the chicken. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  8. Bake in a moderate oven (177 degrees C) until chicken is tender.
