Ingredients:

• Chicken joints – 750 gm
• Tomato – 1 cup, chopped
• Mustard oil – 3 tbsp
• Onion – 1 cup, sliced
• Ginger-garlic paste – 3 tsp
• Green chillies – 2, slit
• Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
• Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in kadai. Fry onion till light brown.
  2. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till fragrant.
  3. Add tomato and continue to fry till tomatoes are pulpy.
  4. Add chicken, green chilli, chilli and turmeric powders and salt.
  5. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add about 1.5 cups of water and simmer till the chicken is cooked.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice.
