Ingredients:

• 1 kg – chicken, cut into medium-sized pieces
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 3 – dry red chillies, broken into bits
• 1 tsp – garlic-ginger paste
• 3 – tomatoes, chopped
• 2 – onions, sliced finely
• 1 tsp – spice powder or Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – ground pepper powder
• 1/2 tsp – whole pepper Corns
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 3/4 cup – red wine
• salt to taste

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the dry red chillies, onions and pepper corns and fry until golden brown.
  2. Add the chicken and saute for a few minutes until it changes colour.
  3. Now add the other ingredients and stir well.
  4. Simmer on low heat until the chicken is tender and the gravy is thick.
  5. Serve with rice, chapatti or bread.
