Ingredients:
• cooked Chicken – 1 cup, heaped, flaked
• mayonnaise – 1/2 cup
• white sauce – 2 cup
• bread slices – 8
• Butter – 2 tbsp
• Garlic – 2 tsp, minced
• Parsley – 2 tbsp
• grated cheddar cheese – 3 tbsp
• Butter to grease and dot
• pepper to taste
• salt to taste
Method:
- Trim away the crust from bread.
- Heat butter in a fry pan.
- Add garlic and fry till fragrant.
- Add parsley and chicken.
- Fry for 1 minute.
- Add salt and pepper.
- Spread the bread slices with mayonnaise and prepare four sandwiches using the chicken filling.
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Spread 1.5 the white sauce in it.
- Arrange the sandwiches in one layer, over the white sauce.
- Cover with remaining sauce.
- Sprinkle the cheese on top and dot with butter.
- Bake in a hot oven (200 degrees centigrade) till the cheese melts.
- Serve hot.
