Ingredients:

• Bread slices – 12
• Corn flour – 1 tbsp
• All purpose flour – 1 tbsp
• Crushed garlic/ginger – 1 tbsp
• Tandoori masala – 1/2 tsp
• Coriander – a small bunch
• Ghee – 2 tsp
• Onion – 2
• Tomato – 3
• Lemon – 1 (optional)
• Salt, chilli powder and Sugar to taste

Method:

  1. Cut the bread slices into 2 by 2 inch cubes.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp of ghee and fry the bread cubes for just a couple of minutes on medium flame. Sprinkle a little salt.
  3. Remove the bread cubes from the pan and heat the remaining ghee.
  4. Fry the onions and tomatoes.
  5. Mix the flours, crushed ginger/garlic in a small quantity of water. Add this mixture to the pan.
  6. Let the sauce boil for 5 minutes.
  7. Add tandoori masala and some more ghee if required.
  8. Add salt, chilli powder and a little sugar.
  9. Now add the fried bread cubes into this mixture and stir well on medium flame.
  10. When the mixture starts getting drier, remove from the heat.
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves and slices of lime. Serve hot.
