Ingredients:

• 2 small tins – Tuna
• 2 – large onions, finely chopped
• 2 tbsp – ginger, finely chopped
• 1 tsp – garlic, finely chopped
• 5 – green chillies, finely chopped
• 2 – eggs, well beaten
• 1 – potato, boiled and mashed
• 3 sprigs- curry leaves, finely chopped
• 1/2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1/2 tsp – pepper powder
• 1/2 tsp – Garam Masala
• 2 tbsp – oil for saute
• bread crumbs for coating
• Oil for deep frying

Method:

  1. Clean the tuna and mince.
  2. Pour 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan, and saute the ginger, garlic, green chillies, and curry leaves on low flame for a few seconds.
  3. Add the onions and saute until transparent.
  4. Add all the masalas and continue to saute.
  5. Add salt and mix well.
  6. Add the minced fish and cook well.
  7. Ensure there is no extra water in the mixture.
  8. Remove and cool.
  9. Mix the mashed potatoes to make a smooth lump.
  10. Make round patties of the dough, dip in beaten egg, coat with bread crumbs, and deep-fry in hot oil.
  11. Serve with tomato ketchup or as a side dish with rice.
