Ingredients:

• 250gm – chouli (string/long beans)
• 1 cup – grated Coconut
• Roasted peanuts, a handful
• 2 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – cumin
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric
• Salt to taste
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 1 tsp – mustard
• Asafetida – a pinch
• Curry leaves

Method:

  1. Wash and cut chouli into 1 inch long pieces and then pressure cook with turmeric.
  2. Grind coconut, roasted peanuts, red chilli powder, cumin and asafoetida.
  3. Take a pan and heat oil in it.
  4. Add mustard and when it crackles, add boiled chouli and ground paste.
  5. Add curry leaves and salt to taste.
  6. Cook for 4-5 mins.
  7. Serve hot with chapattis or rice.
