Ingredients:

• Fish fillet (pomfret or seer) – 1/2 kg
• Rice (raw) – 1/2 cup
• Ginger – 20g
• Garlic – 20g
• Red Chilli powder – 3 tsp
• Cumin powder (roasted) – 2 tsp
• Pepper – 1/2 tsp
• Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
• Green chilli – 2
• A pinch of chaat masala
• Fresh Mint leaves for garnishing
• Salt to taste
• A few drops of Orange colour

Method:

  1. Soak the rice for an hour, dry on paper, and grind it.
  2. Prepare a paste of ginger, garlic, red chilli powder, cumin powder, pepper, green chillies, orange colour, and salt.
  3. Add the powdered rice and a little water to this paste and prepare a thick marinade.
  4. Cut the fish into pieces. Apply lemon juice and keep aside for half an hour.
  5. Then dip the fish pieces into the marinade and keep aside for 20 to 30 minutes.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and fry the fish pieces.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and Chaat masala.
