Ingredients:

• 2 cup – Rice
• 1 tbsp – Garlic pods, peeled
• 2 – green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 1/2 cup – Coconut gratings
• A sprig – Curry leaves
• 2 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 tsp – black gram dal
• 1 tsp – Mustard Seed
• 3/4 tsp – salt

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed pan and splutter mustard and black gram dal.
  2. Add curry leaves, slit green chillies and garlic pods and fry till they turn brown.
  3. Add the leftover rice and 3/4 tsp salt and stir over a slow flame for about 5 mins
  4. Remove from fire, add the coconut gratings and mix well.
  5. Serve hot.
