Ingredients:
• For crust:
• 2 cups – plain flour
• 2 – Egg yolks
• 1 tsp – baking powder
• 1/4 cup – butter, softened it
• Pinch of salt
• 1/4 cup – cold water (more if required)
• 1 tbsp – Sugar
• For filling:
• 2cups – khoya
• 1 tbsp – vanilla essence
• 1 cup – Cream cheese
• 3/4 cup – crumbled Paneer
• 1/2 cup – sour Cream
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 2 – eggs
• 1 tbsp – Lemon juice
Method:
- Mix all the crust ingredients and make a dough.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for 3 hours.
- Beat the eggs, sugar, and lemon juice in a bowl.
- Add the remaining ingredients for the filling and beat well till smooth.
- Remove the dough from the freezer. Place on a flour-dusted work surface.
- Roll the dough into approximately a 12-inch circle.
- Line a 9-inch pan with the dough and trim the excess.
- The excess dough can be rolled into 4-inch long strips.
- Refrigerate the pan and strips for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 325 Fahrenheit.
- Remove the pan from freezer.
- Add the prepared filling into the crust.
- Arrange the strips on top.
- Brush the top strips with butter.
- Bake for an hour or until golden brown.
- Cool, cut into wedges, and serve.
