Corn Pulao

Ingredients:

• 1 cup rice, washed
• 2 tbsp Ghee
• 2 cups hot water
• 2 tbsp Curd
• 1 cup corn, boiled
• salt to taste
• Grind for Masala Paste :
• 40 gm grated Coconut
• 1 cup chopped Onion
• 2 flakes Garlic
• 3 Green chillies
• 7g Poppy Seeds
• 1 cm Ginger
• 1 tsp Cumin seeds

Method:

  1. Put ghee in a casserole and melt it on high for one minute.
  2. Saute the masala paste, cover and cook on high for three minutes.
  3. Mix in the rice, cover and cook on high for two minutes till roasted.
  4. Add hot water and salt.
  5. Cover partially and cook on high for 14 minutes or until the rice is cooked, stirring every five minutes.
  6. Add curd and corn. Stand for 10 minutes before serving.
