Ingredients:

• 500 g – medium-sized Prawns
• a pinch or two of Turmeric powder
• For the gravy: 2 – onions, medium-sized
• 1 tbsp – Garlic paste
• 1/2 tbsp – Ginger paste
• 4-5 – Green chillies
• 8-10 – black pepper Corns
• 10-15 g – fresh coriander
• 1 – tomato, medium-sized
• Other ingredients: 5 tbsp – Coconut Milk
• 1 tbsp – fresh Cream
• For seasoning: salt to taste
• 1 tbsp – Honey
• a little Mustard oil
• 1 tsp – coriander powder

Method:

  1. Mix turmeric powder and salt with the washed prawns; keep aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Saute the prawns in an oiled pan and keep aside.
  3. Wet-grind the gravy spices without excess water.
  4. Put 2 tbsp of oil in a kadhai; put 1 bay leaf and all the ground spices. Fry until the oil separates.
  5. Add the prawns and mix well.
  6. Add the other ingredients, mix well and let it cook for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Adjust the gravy as you please. Serve hot, preferably with veg pulav.
