Ingredients:
• ½ packet flakey pastry
• ½ cup flour
• 1 cup chopped vegetables
• 1 bunch spinach, chopped
• ½ onion, chopped
• 2 flakes garlic, chopped
• 2 ½ cups flaked boiled fish
• 2 tbsp. thick white sauce
• 1 tsp. dry or fresh herbs
• 1 tbsp. Butter
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 Egg beaten with 2 tbsp. of Milk
Method:
- Dust the table with flour and roll the pastry into a sheet.
- On a baking tray, apply butter, dust with flour and carefully transfer the pastry sheet on to the tray.
- In a frying pan, put the butter and sauté the onions, garlic, spinach and vegetables for 10 mins. Now add the fish and lightly toss them together.
- Season with salt and pepper. Toss in the herbs along with the white sauce.
- Remove the mixture from the fire and stuff into the pastry.
- Brush the pastry with egg wash on the inside edges, wrap round the mixture, seal it well and then brush the outside with egg wash.
- Bake in a hot oven for 10 to 12 minutes, remove and serve hot carefully slicing with a sharp knife.
