Ingredients:

• 2 tbsp – cooking oil
• 1.5 cup – Toor Dal
• 1 cup – black gram
• 1 tbsp – cooking oil
• 200 gm – chillies
• 1 tsp – asafetida
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Fry the dals in 2 tbsp oil for five mins and keep aside.
  2. Add one more tbsp oil to the pan and add the chillies.
  3. When brown, add asafoetida and saute. Then remove and cool.
  4. Once cool, add salt and grind everything coarsely in a mixer.
