Ingredients:
• 1 l – Milk
• 1 tbsp – basmati Rice
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• a few strands of Saffron
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/8 tsp – Nutmeg powder
• a few slices of Almonds and Pistachios
Method:
- Apply a little ghee to the inner surface of a vessel with a thick bottom. Boil the milk in it.
- Wash the rice. Apply a little ghee to the rice so that the grains do not stick to each other. Pour in the boiling milk.
- Continue boiling the milk on low flame, stirring in between.
- When the rice in the milk is fully cooked, add sugar.
- Boil till the required sweetness is attained.
- Add saffron, cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and slices of almonds and pistachios. Serve hot or chilled.
