Ingredients:

• 1 l – Milk
• 2 cups – peeled and grated Doodhi
• 3/4 cup – Sugar
• 1/2 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 15-20 strands of saffron, crushed in 1 tsp of hot Milk
• 10 – pistachios, unsalted and thinly slivered
• 1 tsp – Ghee

Method:

  1. Heat ghee in heavy deep pan
  2. Fry the grated doodhi for 5 minutes.
  3. Add milk and stir gently to bring to boil.
  4. Reduce the flame and cook until the milk thickens
  5. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
  6. Add cardamom, saffron and pistachios. Mix well. Serve hot.
