Ingredients:

• 1 – Lauki/Bottle gourd
• 1 cup – Milk
• 2 cups – Sugar
• 4-5 tsp – Ghee
• 1 – Cardamom pod
• 10-12 – Raisins/Sultanas (optional)

Method:

  1. Peel and grate lauki.
  2. In a pan, add grated lauki and milk and cook the lauki till tender and well cooked.
  3. Once the liquid evaporates, add sugar to it and mix well.
  4. Cook further till all the liquid content evaporates and the sugar melts.
  5. Now add ghee teaspoon by teaspoon with continuous mixing.
  6. Add crushed cardamom to the mixture on the pan.
  7. Mix well and cook till the mixture moves together leaving sides.
