Ingredients:

• 2 cups – gooseberry (star variety)
• 2 tbsp – chilli powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 tbsp – salt
• 2 tbsp – Vinegar
• 1 tbsp – Sugar

Method:

  1. Wash the gooseberries and dry them well.
  2. Soak them with salt and leave them in the sun, for a week.
  3. When the gooseberries shrivel up and change colour, add the rest of the ingredients and mix well.
  4. Bottle and use when required.
