Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup – Almonds
• 1 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1 tsp – kesar/saffron
• 4 cups – Milk
• 1/2 cup – Raisins
• 1/2 cup- rice, basmati
• 1 cup – Sugar
Method:
- Wash and drain the rice. Soak in water for 1/2 hour.
- Boil milk and add drained rice.
- Simmer on low heat for 1.5 hours hours.
- Stir frequently to prevent sticking.
- Simmer until the rice is cooked and the mixture is creamy.
- Now add sugar and stir well.
- Then remove from heat and add crushed cardamom seeds, saffron and shredded almonds.
- Serve hot or refrigerated cold.
