Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Wheat flour
• 1/2 cup – frozen cut spinach/Methi
• 2-3 tsp – til seeds
• 2-3 tsp – oil
• 2-3 tsp – Jeera seeds
• 1 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – ginger/garlic paste
• 1 tsp – Hing
• 3-4 tsp – chilli powder
• Coriander leaves (optional)
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
• Sugar to taste
• salt to taste
Method:
- First, dry-roast the til seeds till golden brown.
- Mix all the ingredients, except the wheat flour, with the spinach and cook in microwave on high for 2 to 3 minutes.
- If using fresh methi leaves, they have to be chopped first and cooked with a little water in the microwave before mixing with the ingredients.
- Then mix it with the wheat flour, adding the oil and a little warm water to give it the consistency of a chapati dough.
- Adjust the salt, sugar, and chilli powder according to taste and leave aside for a few minutes.
- Roll the dough out into chapatis and cook them on a hot iron tawa.
- Enjoy with pickle/chutney.
