Ingredients:

• 1 cup – dark chocolate pieces
• 1/2 cup – Sugar
• 2 tbsp – Butter
• 1/4 cup – whole Wheat pastry flour
• 1/2 cup – Oat flour
• 1/2 cup – Apple sauce
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 1/2 tsp – baking powder
• 1/2 tsp – baking soda
• Few Walnuts and almonds, chopped
• Few Almond flakes, optional

Method:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
  2. Heat together chocolate pieces and butter together a microwave safe bowl for 5minutes.
  3. Now add the baking powder, sugar, baking soda and beat well till the sugar gets well dissolved.
  4. Add milk and apple sauce to the chocolate-butter mixture, give a stir.
  5. Finally add the whole wheat pastry flour, oats flour, chopped walnuts and almonds to the chocolate-sugar mixture, mix slowly.
  6. Pour the chocolate batter to a greased cake pan.
  7. Sprinkle few almond flakes over the batter and bake for 25-30 minutes.
