Ingredients:

• 1 cup – tur dal
• 1 cup – Fenugreek leaves, chopped finely
• 2 – green chillies, slit lengthwise
• 2 tsp – chilli powder
• 1 tsp – coriander powder
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 2 – tomatoes, chopped
• 1 – onion, chopped
• 1 tsp – crushed Garlic
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash the dal and cook it along with the fenugreek leaves, tomato, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and onion with enough water in a pressure cooker
  2. When done open the pressure cooker, add salt and some more water and mash well
  3. In another pan, heat oil splutter the mustard seeds
  4. Add the broken red chillies and mashed garlic and fry for some time
  5. Pour over the cooked dal and fenugreek
  6. Serve with rice
