Ingredients:

• Besan flour – 1 cup
• Sugar – 2 cups
• Ghee – 1.5 cups
• Water – 1/2 cup
• Elaichi powder – 1 tsp

Method:

  1. Fry the besan flour in some ghee until it turns golden.
  2. In another bowl, put the sugar and water to boil.
  3. When the sugar syrup reaches one string consistency, put it to simmer, add the fried besan flour and stir.
  4. Add the remaining ghee bit by bit and keep stirring.
  5. Wait for the mixture to start leaving the sides of the bowl.
  6. When it does, take a little portion of the mixture in your hand and press, it should become like cake.
  7. Remove the mixture from the flame immediately and pour on a greased plate.
  8. Flatten the mixture quickly.
  9. Use a greased knife to cut the mixture into pieces before it cools down.
  10. The pieces will become hard soon.
  11. Garnish with elaichi powder.
