Ingredients:
• 2 – Pomfret
• 1 – Lemon
• 20 – Red Chillies
• 13 -14 – Cloves
• 4 – Cinnamon
• 10 – green Cardamoms
• 3 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 3 tsp – Black Peppercorns
• 2 pieces of Ginger
• 1 pod – Garlic
• 2 tsp – oil
• 2 – large chopped Onions
• 2 tsp – Sugar
• salt to taste
Method:
- Soak red chillies, cloves, cinnamon, green cardamoms, cumin seeds, black peppercorns, ginger and garlic in water overnight.
- Grind to a thick paste.
- Saute onions in 1 tsp oil on low flame till brown.
- Add sugar and add the sauteed onions to the prepared paste.
- The masala is now ready.
- Clean and cut fish, then stuff it with this paste.
- Sprinkle salt and lime juice.
- Refrigerate for an hour.
- Then shallow fry fish in 1 tsp oil for 7-8 minutes each side.
- Serve with fresh onion rings and lemon.
