Ingredients:
• 500 gm – fish (preferably hammour)
• 4 tbsp – chick pea flour
• salt to taste
• For the Marinade:
• 1 large onion, finely sliced
• 1 tbsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 1 tsp – Red Chilli powder
• 1 tsp – Mango powder
• 1 tsp – Lemon juice
• 3 tbsp – Yoghurt
• 4 tbsp – roasted chick pea flour
• 2 tbsp – Cream
• food color (optional)
• oil for deep frying and basting
• salt to taste
Method:
- Mix salt and chick pea flour in a bowl and mix the fish in it.
- Keep aside for one hour.
- Wash and pat dry.
- Deep fry the onions in oil till brown.
- Drain and make into a paste with a little water.
- Mix all the ingredients of the marinade in a bowl along with the onion paste.
- Mix in the fish and refrigerate for 3 hours.
- Oil the skewers and cook in a tandoor basting with oil 2-3 times.
