Ingredients:

• 2 cups – Basmati Rice
• 3 tbsp – Ghee
• 1 – Onion (Sliced)
• 4 – Cloves
• 4 – Cardamom
• 1 – Cinnamon Stick
• 2 – Red Chillies
• 1/2 cup – Pineapple (Chopped)
• 1/2 cup – Apple – (Chopped)
• 1/2 cup – Grapes (Seedless)
• 1/2 cup – Orange Juice
• 1.5 cups – Water
• Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Wash and keep the rice aside for sometime.
  2. Take a microwave-safe bowl, place ghee and sliced onion and microwave on ‘High’ for 2 minutes.
  3. Add cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, red chillies (break into pieces) and rice.
  4. Mix well and microwave on ‘High’ for 2 more minutes.
  5. Add water, orange juice and salt.
  6. Cook covered in microwave ‘High’ for 11 minutes.
  7. Stir in the chopped apple, pineapple and grapes.
  8. Keep covered for a few minutes.
  9. Now the fruit Pulao is ready to eat. Serve hot.
