Ingredients:
• 2 cups – Maida
• 1/2 cup – Milk
• 1 tsp – Rapid rise Dry yeast
• 1/2 cup – Luke warm water
• 1 tsp – Sugar
• 12 pods – garlic, chopped fine
• 2 tsp – oil
• Melted Butter to smear
• Water needed for dough
Method:
- In a bowl add lukewarm water, sugar and yeast. Wait for 5-8 minutes.
- Froth will start forming on top indicating that the yeast mixture Is ready.
- Add maida in a bowl and to that add salt, oil, half the amount of chopped garlic.
- Add the yeast mixture prepared to it and start to knead. Keep adding little by little milk as you knead.
- Add water only if required to get a very soft sticky dough. Cover and let it rest for 40 minutes.
- Punch down dough and knead again till all air trapped in escapes out.
- Pull out balls from the dough and dust the balls with dry flour. Using your hands just pull apart little by little to get the naan ready.
- Place it on a flat surface and spread 1/2 tsp of the chopped garlic on top and pat it so that they don’t fall apart.
- Cook on one side and as you see bubbles rising flip and apply melted butter or even ghee on top and cook the other side.
- Once cooked, flip again and cook for few seconds and your garlic naan is ready to be served
