Ingredients:

• 50 g – moong dal
• 50 g – masoor dal
• Turmeric powder
• salt to taste
• For tempering:
• 4 flakes – Garlic
• 2 tbsp – Mustard oil
• 2 g – Cumin seed
• 2 – Red Chilli whole
• 1 pinch Hing

Method:

  1. Mix dal and turmeric with salt.
  2. Boil till dal is cooked. After boiling keep aside.
  3. For tempering:
  4. Heat oil. Add chopped garlic flakes, hing, cumin seed and red chilli.
  5. After it turns into brown colour, add to dal.
  6. Serve with boiled rice.
