Ingredients:

• 1 lb – king fish
• For marinating:
• 1 bunch – Mint leaves
• 1.5 bunch – Coriander leaves
• 2 – medium Onions (chopped)
• 1 tsp – ginger-garlic paste
• 1/4 cup – Tamarind pulp
• 2 tbsp – white Vinegar
• 1 tsp – Garam Masala
• 1/4 tsp – Cinnamon powder
• 1/4 tsp – Cardamom powder
• 1/4 tsp – Turmeric powder
• 1 tsp – black pepper powder
• 4 – Green chillies (slit lengthwise)
• 2 tbsp – water
• 1 tbsp – oil

Method:

  1. Wash fish thoroughly and cut into 2 inch pieces.
  2. In a blender, add all the ingredients for marination (except for oil) with 2 tbsp water and blend it to a paste of medium consistency (green masala), the paste should neither be too thick nor too watery.
  3. In a bowl, slide in the fish and mix well with the green masala paste and 1 tbsp oil. Marinated the fish for 45 minutes in a refrigerator.
  4. Pre-heat oven to 400 degree F. Arrange the fish pieces on a flat baking tray, cook for 15 minutes on one side; turn on the other side and cook for another 10 minutes. Separate the leftover marination mix and keep it aside.
  5. Heat a non-stick skillet and cook the leftover marination to a thicker consistency.
  6. Place the fish pieces on a plate and top it with the sauce.
