
Ingredients:
• Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Channa dal -1 tbsp
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Dried red chillies – a few
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
• Cloves – 5
• Curry leaves – a few
• Asafoetida – 2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Cooked Rice – 2 cup
Method:
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds, then add the chana dal, urad dal and saute until brown.
- Now add the cloves, red chillies, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, add the grated coconut and fry until golden brown.
- Add this mixture to the rice.
- Serve hot.
