Ingredients:

• Grated Coconut – 1/2 cup
• Channa dal -1 tbsp
• Urad Dal – 1 tsp
• Dried red chillies – a few
• Mustard Seeds – 1 tsp
• Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
• Cloves – 5
• Curry leaves – a few
• Asafoetida – 2 tsp
• Salt to taste
• Oil – 1 tbsp
• Cooked Rice – 2 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter the mustard seeds, then add the chana dal, urad dal and saute until brown.
  2. Now add the cloves, red chillies, cumin seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, add the grated coconut and fry until golden brown.
  3. Add this mixture to the rice.
  4. Serve hot.
