Ingredients:

• Spinach – 3 bunches
• Onions – 3
• Peas – 2 cups (frozen)
• Garlic – 10 flakes
• Ginger – 1 small piece
• Green chillies – 8
• Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
• Tomatoes – 4
• Oil/ghee – 4 tbsp
• Salt to taste
• Coriander leaves – 1 bunch

Method:

  1. Grind ginger, garlic, chillies, coriander to a fine paste with a little water.
  2. Heat ghee/oil. Add sliced onions and saute till brown.
  3. Add the ground masala and fry on low heat till oil separates.
  4. Add turmeric, salt, peas, chopped spinach and chopped tomatoes.
  5. Pour enough water, cover and cook on medium heat till spinach wilts.
  6. Mix 1/2 tsp garam masala. Stir and take off from the heat.
  7. Serve hot with chapattis.
