Ingredients:
• 1 cup – Rice
• 1 cup – whole green gram dhal
• 4 tsp – Ghee
• 1 tsp – black pepper powder
• 1.5 tsp – Garam Masala powder
• 1 tsp – Cumin seeds
• 1/2 tsp – Mustard Seeds
• 1 tsp – Ginger chopped
• Curry leaves
• salt according to taste
Method:
- In a pressure cooker, add ghee.
- Add mustard and jeera. Wait till they splutter.
- Now add the curry leaves and ginger. Saute well.
- Now add the washed and drained rice and dhal.
- Add 5 to 6 cups of water (according to the kind of rice).
- Close the cooker with lid and pressure-cook it for 4 to 5 whistles.
- Serve hot with pappad.
