Ingredients:

• 3 – medium-sized pomfrets, cut into pieces
• 2 tsp – Ginger Garlic paste
• 4 – Green chillies
• 4 tbsp – Coriander leaves
• 1 tsp – cumin powder
• 2 – Cloves
• 2 – Cardamoms
• 2 pieces – Cinnamon
• 1/2 tsp – Turmeric powder
• salt
• 3 tbsp – oil
• 2 – onions, sliced finely
• 1/2 cup – Coconut paste
• 2 tsp – chopped Mint leaves

Method:

  1. Grind the green chillies, coriander leaves, mint leaves, coconut, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and cumin to a smooth paste in a blender.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till they are golden brown in colour.
  3. Add the ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and fry for some time.
  4. Now add the ground masala, salt and mix it well.
  5. Keep frying it on low heat till the oil separates from the masala.
  6. Add the pomfret and sufficient water to cover the fish, cook for 5 to 6 minutes.
  7. Serve it hot.
