Ingredients:

• Black gram dal – 1/2 cup
• Green gram dal – 1/2 cup
• Whole Wheat rava – 1 cup
• Green chilli – 1 tsp, chopped
• Asafoetida – 1/2 tsp
• Curry leaves – 1 tbsp, finely chopped
• Salt to taste.

Method:

  1. Wash and soak both the dals in water for 1 hour.
  2. Grind to a fluffy batter, using the water in which the dals were soaked. Add salt and keep covered for 3-4 hours.
  3. Meanwhile soak wheat rava in water for 1-2 hours.
  4. Drain the rava and add to dal batter. Add rest of the ingredients.
  5. Pour in greased idly moulds and steam for 15 minutes. Serve.
